  • Hi Everyone! We just recently started using Atrium, converting from L4u. I'm very excited, but also a little overwhelmed. :-)
    • On the main page of CLN under events is a link to register for the webinar. If you are not available on Tuesday morning, register anyways. All people that register will be sent a recording of the webinar.
    • Welcome to Ariuum! It is a bit overwhelming, but worth the change. There is a one-hour free webinar this coming Tuesday, March 15, about Atriuum. We will cover lots of functions in the program. Contact Alabama State Board of Missions (alsbom.org) to register.
    • Thank you so much.
  • We will be acquiring the Atrium program. Any and all help will be very much appreciated.
    • Janet, our library converted from Concourse to Atriuum in January 2021. I chronicled some of what we learned in the process in another post below. I wish we had worked harder to clean up our messes before converting. We are still making corrections in our records. I guess that we an ongoing process in any library. Ours is over 75 years old and has been computerized since 2000. Over these past 20 years different cataloguers did some things differently. We are now going through everything a little bit at a time to have our records be consistent. You will appreciate all that Atriuum can do.
    • Brian, I'm sorry for the late reply. Your church library sounds just like ours. We haven't gotten the program yet. Thanks for the info.
  • Our library started with Atriuum in November of last year. We are still learning what we can do. i would love to be part of a group and learn more.

Preparing to Convert from Concourse to Atriuum

We go live with Atriuum on January 25, 2021.  We have scrambled these past several weeks cleaning up some messes we had made in Concourse over the years in preparation for converting to Atriuum. I wish we had given ourselves more time.  If your library is considering Atriuum, please give yourself plenty of time to "get your house in order."  We chose to eliminate audiocassettes from our collection, and that took quite some time going through the deletion process for those items.  We are still…

marking member authors in Atriuum

Greetings,Our congregation has a dozen or so member authors whose books are cataloged in our library.  I'd very much like to indicate that somewhere on the bibliographic record (as opposed to the individual patron record) in Atriuum.I thought "Author Type" would be a great place to indicate that, but it doesn't appear that you are able to customize that field in any way.  I've looked for User Defined Fields, but they only appear on patron records.Anyone have any ideas? Thanks,Sharln
