I just finished one yesterday that was donated titled Zipporah Wife of Moses had hope in the begining but I'm afraid it's for the rubbish bin. Getting ready to start Blood from a Stone it's book 5 in series about a time traveling cop named Rembrant Stone.by David James Warren who is/are? really James Rubart, Susan May Warren two favorites and her son David Curtis Warren  It will be an intresting change of pace then I will start  The Secrets of Emerald Cottage by Julie Lessman I am looking forward to a new one by her They both came in the same order

Here are some photos of the tri-folds I mentioned in the conversation about classification. We have several more of different genres each in a different color and some authors that are prolific have their own   There were a couple reasons behind making them all different colors one colors attract attention so people are more likely to walk over and pick one up and two I can walk past the display and see -'Oh only have one lavender one left' so know need to put out more Karen Kingsbury. By placing them in different places on the church campus it helps raise awareness that there is a church library and that we have more than old Sunday School literature

Basic format the same so only needed to create one template type in authors/book titles and creating gaps with tab/enter where wanted to put clip art

Some of the clip art was found online -audio books/clip art/free and some I created myself If you are not tatented when it comes to art ask around or consider asking the person who helps design sets if your church does dramas/cantatas. 

Has anyone bought tablets that could be checked out? We have several who have a hard time reading either because  of their eyes or holding a book so I was considering buying a couple. How did you handle them

We played on the VBS theme used maps to decorate the idea being that they read out of each 'group' (fiction, 100s, 200s,...) with a round prize for each (glo-stick, pencil,  ball...) and they put a sticker on a world map for each book Both our regular church kids and the day-care kids are enjoying I did not even think about asking the adults to join us
