"Thank you for the suggestion. I believe this was one of the books I saw when doing some research for the pastor. The description I read about it reminded me of this family. "

Help please with a Family Devotional & Website

Our pastor has emailed asking for help with a family.  He is looking for a good family devotional book.  The kids range from preschool to teens.  The parents are looking for something that they can have daily devotions and work on reading the bible together.  He is working with the parents already on memory verses. We don't put devotional books in our library. He is also asking for any good websites for Family Bible Reading Resources besides Right Now Media.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.See More

Church libraries can make a tremendous difference by offering books of faith and virtue to shape young minds and encourage family discussion. Here are two recent children's books by a Virginia pastor, that do that very thing. Both are available at Amazon and other online booksellers. "The Calling Card of the King" is just out this month and is about a king who visits his subjects incognito. He helps them discover the power of forgiveness and love, and leaves behind a calling card that seems to transform lives. "Where Do Belly Buttons Come From?" is a delightful story that reminds us that we all are specially made and especially loved by God!

Hi, Lee!  My book is delayed because it had to go back to graphic designers.  You see they sent me a proof book.  I was allowed to edit and correct, etc. and then make a list of errors which they had made in the book which only they could correct. I made such a list and the book because of that had to go back to the graphic designers for corrections.  It will be back to me sometime this coming week and I will then have another proof to look at to be sure they corrected those things etc. It will not be long.  I will let you know.  Thanks for being my friend.  Please ask the mailing person to include Derbyshire Baptist Church.  Send it to Rob Dysert@dbcRichmond.org
