What is the best software for church libraries? I am new to this and need to catalog our library and and automate the check out and check in process as we do not have a full time librarian. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Paula and all others who are interested:
There will be a one-day training on Saturday, August 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:oo p.m., with Eva Nell Hunter as our trainer. This may be our last one, since our benefactor, Loren Hutchenson, is retiring at the end of this year. I don't have any of the specifics right now.
Hi Dan, It was awesome hearing from some of our Missouri friends. Our computer systems crashed in 2011, ouch! But we took huge advantage of a bad situation, did a major and long needed weed and purge, and move.
Set a new Book Systems on new computers that are networked and we now have everything on computers that are backed up daily! Isn't God wonderful?
Hopeful in another year or two we will be able to go to the Atrium program, we are not quite ready for that yet. It won't be long though we are growing steadily and I look forward to it.
What do you hear from the association? I haven't gotten any info about meetings or upcoming classes?
Paula
What is everyone doing for the summer in their libraries? We have the 'Ice Creme For Books" . We are trying to enhance our OPAC with more info on each item. We use Antrium what are you using? View our site http://pleasantvalleybaptist.booksys.net/opac/pvbc/index.html?mode=...
I just want to let you know that I am resigning from my library duties with the association and also with the national planning team. I've enjoyed the years, but it's time for a change. I do not plan to disappear -- I will still be around.
I am being replaced by Gloria Calvert, so when you have questions about future meetings and activities, please contact her. As you can see, she is a member of Church Librarians and a member of our Missouri Group.
