SPIRIT OF OKLAHOMA STORYTELLING FESTIVAL hosted by The Territory Tellers

The 7^th Annual Spirit of Oklahoma Storytelling Festival will convene in Bethany, Oklahoma on the campus of Southern Nazarene University, June 13-14, 2014.  The location is on the “Mother Road”, historic Route 66

After many months of planning we finally have moved to a point where we will dedicate our library.  Agreement was achieved for its name which is: the Cowden-Smith Library.  The dual name honors the first librarian, Annabelle Cowden and the most recent librarian, Natalie Smith.  I posted the sad news of Natalie's unsuspected death that has had us scurrying around in an attempt to restore organization and functionality to the library.  The dedication will be attended by Jim Smith, Elder and husban

The Southern California Chapter of the Evangelical Church Library Association welcomes all church librarians and assistants (or those interested) in the southern California area to join us for a morning of fellowship and peer-mentoring. We will be meeting at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar just off the 60 (Pomona) Freeway. Morning refreshments will be served. A tour of their library will follow the meeting. Optional lunch.

The Baptists of Texas convention always puts on a GREAT church library ministry conference. Go to their web site for details for the 2014 event.

A time for church librarians in Tarrant County to reconnect with fellow librarians for food, fun and fellowship.  RSVP 817-545-0184.  Bring a door prize and share what you are doing in your library.  Find out the scheduled meetings for TAMM for 2014 and help plan the conference subjects.

The Fall meeting will be hosted at Buena Park Library. Our special guest speaker, Phyllis Nisle, will discuss the development of a collection of Christian books within the public library fiction collection. She will demo review tools and discuss their Overdrive collection of eBooks as well. A tour of the large public library will follow. A Tailgate Party in the parking lot for morning refreshments at 9:40 will precede the meeting at 10:10 - noon. Following the meeting, there will be an optional
