This one day workshop can really give you a boost.   This is an excellent opportunity to bring your new TEAM MEMBERS (or even someone that is trying to decide if the library ministry is where God is calling them to serve.) A fun day is planned for church librarians to focus on classification and cataloging and Concourse. During lunch, the group will share their favorite books. Registration fee is $20 (includes lunch).

A great day is being planned for church librarians at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Beth Andrews and others will be leading conferences. Cost is $30 (includes lunch).

Come explore the e-possibilities for church libraries. A Friday eve and most of Saturday conference will inform you about e-books; e-readers; PowerPoint; web-site usage; library software; e-newsletters; using technology to promote; archiving images electronically; and more e-xciting information!! Topics will include e-books for church libraries, new ideas for summer reading clubs, and general planning for our next Fall Festival of Authors luncheon, as well as a possible field trip in summer of 2012.

Twin Cities Area Chapter of the National Church Library Association Winter Meeting January 28,2012 at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka Minnesota.  The theme is Congregational Health and Your Church Library.   Author Sandra Benitez will present her book Bag Lady, A Memoir.  A short presentation about how the library can connect with the Spiritual Care Ministry.  Also presentation and discussion about Promoting Your Church Library.

Bring a book or Bible to repair or repair books and Bibles for Book-Link (A ministry that sends books and Bibles to 61 foreign countries).

Bill Myers and Diana Wallis Taylor will share how God works through their writing at this year’s Fall Festival of Authors luncheon, presented by the Evangelical Church Library Association, Southern California Chapter.

The purpose of the event is to provide a unique opportunity for readers of Christian lit, aspiring writers, and Christian librarians to hear two distinguished authors, and mingle with many other local Christian authors!
