Greetings!
Have you discovered our new website? Well, “new” means our new look and some new tabs. Our website URL is the same: churchlibrarians.NING.com. Your password is the same. You will find lots of content we had before, some new, and we look forward to lots of new content.
Sign In
Start exploring the site by going to our new Main page. First, sign in by clicking on Sign In on the top black border of the CLN on the far right. Use the same password you have been using. Second, read Welcome to the Church Librarians Network. Then read Checkout Our New Website. Click through to an introduction to our new features: Checkout Our New Website. BTW, red titles mean click through to open something.
Typesize
If the Main Page typesize is too small for you, click on the three vertical dots to the right of your picture on the url of your web browser. That is right above your name at the top of the CLN website. In the drop down you will see the word “Zoom” with a number percentage to the right. Zoom up to 100%.
My Page
Be sure to visit My Page. Very different than our former “My Page” on the other website. Lots of great tools here. On the right side of the screen, click on Options. We hope you will insert a picture of yourself there if you have not done so. You can also insert a picture of your library in the header of My Page. Be sure to click on “Email” where you will find lots of choices about how you want to receive or not receive our emails.
Articles
We now have a tab for our articles. You will find there some updated articles including Glenn McEowen’s articles on eBooks. Several other articles are in the process of being updated by some of our authors. We have five categories for articles so click on “More” on the top right side of the Articles page to open the category links. Admittedly it is an awkward location.
Familiar Tabs
You will continue to find our familiar tabs like The Circle and Q&A. All 1008 photos will be there. We are removing the videos that no longer exist but keeping those that do work. You will find both the pictures and videos in one place.
Too much Change?
The new website is a work in progress. As you have questions or something frustrates you, email me: churchlibrariansnetwork@gmail.com. Let’s work together to make this website work for all of us.
As soon as the dust settles on the website design, we will begin preparing our first virtual session. Can’t wait to get that going!!
