Why Have a Church Library? Flake’s 7th Reason
The final reason stated by Lavender and Flack is conservation of our Baptist history. If your denomination is not Baptist, replace Baptist with the name of your denomination. Since 1934 when this book was published, Southern Baptists had a program that included the study of Baptist history. That ministry is gone today in most churches. Is there a ministry in your denomination that teaches history? Do church libraries conserve the history of churches in your denomination? Click here.
