Summer Reading Challenges
Lee Smith shared their plans for the summer! Click here. For those of you like me who seriously struggle with summer reading challenges, I put together a handout to help our team figure out what to do which really helped us focus our thinking. I literally copied and pasted CLN posts on summer ideas. See my reply with the handout while looking at Lee’s plans.
This week I’ll share what we are putting together when it is ready. Our Kids Minister is looking it over right now so I want to see her response. We are using the Twists & Turns VBS theme by giving them “game cards” to get them to read different categories of books and play their games with friends and family.
VBS Displays
Be sure to take a look at Joy Cryer’s VBS display photo here and Wanda Tuley’s here. When you have a minute, take a picture of your VBS display and post it on the CLN Photos. Click on the red button with plus sign on the top of the photos.

To add a post to any of our pages, follow these steps:
- Click on the tab you want to add a post.
- Click on the red box below the tabs to the right of the page to open a form to fill out for your post.
- When you complete the form, click on Save and Publish.
- If you see a need to edit your post, click on the red box with a pen to the right side of your screen.
