    Central Alabama would like to invite you to attend the Central Alabama Library Conference on Saturday March 4th. at Shoal Creek Baptist church in Deatsville, Al. Why not make plans to take a Road Trip to Wetumpka, Al where Ben and Erin filmed Home Town Take over and attend the conference that is about 12 miles away from Wetumpka, The Hampton INN located In Wetumpka is offering a reduced rate if you are attending this event.

    Tennessee would like to invite you to attend any of the four Carnival of Ideas Training Meetings scheduled for September and October. Locations and dates are on the Ning Events Page or for a detailed listing of classes go to www. tnbaptist.org and search for library. We would love to have you! Why not plan a trip to Chattanooga, Nashville, Knoxville and Memphis around one of our dates? We are also open to school and public libraries and all denominations of church libaries!

    I want to join every state group so I can get to know all of you.  I met so many wonderful people at the Ridgecrest conference in March and I lost my list of names and addresses, or emails that my niece who helped me recorded for me, and now, I need to get in touch with all of you again!  I am eager to converse with each of you!  At present I am visiting my daughter in AZ and will return to Garland, TX the 6th of July--I am busy every day in writing my memoirs, and I am hoping to have it redy for editing by Labor Day, but that is an ambitious goal--It is hard to keep focused when visiting.  nevertheless, I try to do at least a couple of hours a day.  In August I am going to tell stories for Rita Kirkland's church in Euless, TX which is close to where I live.  We will be celebrating the summer reading program  I hope all of you are having a great summer and that your Fourth will be memroable also!  Maxine J.
