As you know I am member at large who reviews and has presented. I just retired after 60 years at church. But am 3 years librarian at Lutheran riverview retirement campus in spokane, I still lead book discussions, and was 45 year public librarian. My current library is an honor system library, only I know what is owned. We currently sport an island with only large print books given to us by Spokane public. Rather than discarding them. We have them at no charge. I use all form of social networks for ideas. My replacement at first replaces resourcemate with tiny cat, we have two separate libraries, and pre to 8 school. Ask me anything. Never received pnacl survey for future.
Hi, I'm new here. I'm also new to the job of being a church librarian. Our church is medium size but our congregation is very small. I'm in the process of setting up our library and finding donations very scarce as far as donated books. I have a letter to mail out to local libraries and am in need of more ideas on how to generate donations. Help please.
Hi Ann,
You have already helped me out. I was having problems cataloging books and you responded to my email. This website for Church Librarians is great !!
The library itself is 70-80 years old and as of right now we have over 15000 books, dvd's, videos, etc. My husband and I came through Washington this summer on our way to visit relatives in Portland, OR. It was my first time in your state and I loved everything about it. We have friends who live in Canada and they went with us so we went a round about way to get to where we wanted to go. Looking forward to hearing back from you too. Take care and we'll talk soon.

Do you have a book discussion group? Do you use a social networking site to have online discussions?
