An excellent opportunity for those in the area to learn about Biblical storytelling, get ideas for using storytelling in your library or outreach. Plus, there are often vendors and their books on hand.

 

SPIRIT OF OKLAHOMA STORYTELLING FESTIVAL hosted by The Territory Tellers

State: Oklahoma

The 7th Annual Spirit of Oklahoma Storytelling Festival will convene in Bethany, Oklahoma on the campus of Southern Nazarene University, June 13-14, 2014.  The location is on the “Mother Road”, historic Route 66, so it will be an exciting time with keynote teller, Kent Rollins and numerous regional and local story artists sharing their most tantalizing tales. 

There will be workshops, mini-story concerts (swaps), musical entertainment and more so be sure and put it on the calendar.  Special events will include : Saturday morning session on Biblical Storytelling with Barbara Wright Jones. 

 

Time(s) Registration begins at 10 am on Friday and goes all day; first session and registration is at 8:00 am on Saturday and goes all day.

 

Admission Fee: Admission by the day, full event, and some events may be free.
