Greetings!
Many of us have endured difficult weather patterns during the past month. And the word “difficult” continues to capture the pandemic. Someone in my church yesterday asked for prayer for churches that are in serious trouble because of the pandemic and now the weather. Perhaps some of you are experiencing such in your faith families. Let’s continue to pray for each other and our churches and synagogues.
Q&A: Classics and Good Reads
Debbie DeHart added an interesting approach to our ongoing discussion about Collection Development. Each church and synagogue is unique. Let’s grapple with the different ways Debbie’s approach to the “classics and good reads” might differ from faith family to faith family. Click here.
Q&A: Book Donations
Sherry Phillips has a request that all of us face from time to time: “Hope you can direct me to a place where you can determine if a book donated is a suitable Christian book for our church library.” Lately, I’ve needed such a place as I consider recommendations from church members for us to purchase for the Enrichment Center. Sadly I purchased them to only find out some of those recommendations did not fit our collection policy. Share your thoughts here.
The Church Librarians Network is full of interesting ideas awaiting you!
Happy March!
