Let’s pick up on Q&A discussions from the past that are relevant today.

Promotion: Facebook? Instagram?

In December 2014, Janet Estridge posted this question about Facebook. Only one person responded. How about today? How did you get started putting your church's library on Facebook as a promotion action? Click here. Anyone using Instagram?

Collection Development: Christian Publishers?

In February 2015, Marjory Lee posted a concern about becoming familiar with new Christian publishers. Perhaps that is even a bigger concern today with several familiar publishers being bought out by non-Christian publishers as well as all the new publishers today. Classification: Single Adults?

In June 2015, Martha Jo Dendinger asked about cataloging books for single adults. For a growing number of our churches, a ministry targeting single adults does not exist. The terms young adults and senior adults now include both marrieds and singles. However, for our libraries, we have the opportunity to help our churches address the specific needs of single adults. How do you categorize items specifically for singe adults? Take a look at the replies posted in the summer of 2015.

Administration: Desk Book?

Another June 2015 discussion focused on desk books. What would you add to the discussion? Have things changed since 2015 regarding the content of our desk books? Click here.

Have a great week!
