Greetings!

All of us obviously did not have time to think about our library ministries during the past few weeks. Although, be sure to check out Ann Lancaster’s photos of her church’s library displays for Spark the Spirit in 2021. Great way to encourage devotional reading in the new year. Thanks, Ann!

By now all of you have heard about the bombing in Nashville. I live in Franklin, TN. My church is in Nashville city limits. As you can imagine, our Christmas Day was consumed with local news about the bombing and continues to be as we watch the investigation reports.

As I reflect on what is happening here, the pandemic,  and all the other disaster of 2020 , I am finding peace and hope in knowing God is in control. Even though a man acted on his own desires, the stories being shared by those who live in the bombed buildings and the police are revealing the presence of God during the countdown to save all those lives.

Today I’ll start transitioning our Enrichment Center displays to the new year. My selection of items to be put on display for selection will be made from the desire of my church family to live changed lives in the new year. Putting off desires not of God. Putting on self-control toward a Godly life.

What will guide your selection for display and even new additions to your collection in 2021?

May God be glorified by our thoughts and actions this week.
