Transitions: What’s Next for the Church?
On March 25, the Baptist Association of Christian Educators (BACE) had an excellent virtual conference titled Transitions: What’s Next for the Church.
During the next few weeks, you will find new Articles on the CLN using recordings of the various BACE sessions as discussion starters. We want church librarians to experience these conferences so that you know what some of your ministers heard during the BACE conferences. And as church librarians we need to be up to date on what research is showing about churches today and going forward.
Our first BACE video is The State of the Church: How we are looking in 2021. The speaker is Savannah Kimberlin who is the Research Director with Barna. As you watch and listen to Kimberlin’s presentation, look for implications for the roles church libraries play in the life and ministry of our churches and synagogues. Note that she is focusing on the hybrid church plus Next Gen church of the future (teens and college students).
