    • Thanks Marilyn !!

I love all these new ideas.

  • We will occasionally set up a "free books" table just outside the library door with extra books/duplicates that we can't use. Last fall we received dozens of boxes of donations from church members who were either moving or reorganizing, and many of those items were duplicates that other church members (even some of the pastors!) were SO excited to pick up. If your library needs additional $$, you could also try selling them very inexpensively (25-50 cents is what I've done), and people will still enjoy getting a great bargain!
    • Thanks again for another good idea.

  • I have a very nice basket, with a nice liner and I fill it with the books people want to swap or exchange.  It is a great way to share good books that for some reason or other you don't find room on the shelves for.  People like getting a "free" book and we encourage them to give it away, return it and get another one, or find it a home somewhere.  I like seeing people find treasures they can keep.

    • Thanks Rita for giving me a very good idea. I never would have thought of it. Janet.
