  • November 4, 2017 is the annual church library conference held at Central Baptist Church in Decatur, AL.  It's free including lunch but you need to register so we can prepare materials.  Go to our library website:  cbcd.booksys.net, click on display and you will find information about the conference.  Included will be complete information, schedule, course descriptions and online registration.  There are so many freebies that you don't want to miss it.

  • Thanks to all who participated in the Nov. 5th library conference at Central Baptist Church in Decatur.  Total count was 110 people from 47 churches, 4 denominations and 4 states.

    Make your plans for next year on November 4th at same location.

  • Are you registered yet for the North Alabama church library conference in Decatur, AL?  Remember that it is free including lunch.  Each attendee will get  more than $100 worth of free materials.  Go to:   cbcd.booksys.net  and you will find all the information concerning the conference including schedule, course descriptions and registration on line.

  • The only church library conference in Alabama this year is coming up on November 5, 2016 at Central Baptist Church in Decatur, AL.  This is a free conference.  You can find all of the details of the conference, schedule, and course descriptions by going to the library website:   cbcd.booksys.net   You can also register online.  Registration is necessary in order to provide your free lunch, bags, etc.    We hope to see you there.

  • On Saturday, Nov. 7th, 2015, there will be an all-day free conference at Central Baptist Church in Decatur, AL.  It begins with registration at 8:00 and ends at 3:30.  Lunch is provided and there are lots of free materials.  

    This will be the 15th year for this conference and it also marks the 50th anniversary of the organization of the AL Baptist Church Library.  In addition to the regular library courses there will be ones on book and Bible repair, church history, cardmaking as a ministry, using the Cricut machine in promotion and making useful things from old media.  To find out more information, go to the church website:  cbcd.booksys.net and click on display and then links.  There you will find complete information including schedule and description of courses as well as a place to register.  We do need  you to register in order to prepare name tags, bags, free materials and lunch.  We would love to have you at this conference which usually has 90 - 103 in attendance.

  • Alabama members:  Please note that our state library at Shocco has been moved back to March this year and also to a weekend.  It will be all day on Friday and Saturday, March 20-21.  Please make every effort to attend and also to contact other librarians.  Don Brown will be our guest author at the Friday luncheon.  This will be the 50th anniversary of the church library organization in Alabama.  A special history program is planned for Saturday.  You will find more information on the Events Page of this web site. 

  • The North Alabama Library Conference is now history.  Thanks to all the leaders and others who participated.  It was a great day with 85 present representing 30 churches.  The date for next year is Nov. 3, 2012.  Mark your calendars!

  • It isn't too late to plan to attend the North Alabama Library Conference on Saturday, Nov. 5th.  We need you to register in order to prepare bags, folders, name tags, goodie bags, lunch, etc.  It's all free!  For information go to events at www.cbcdecatur.org.
  • Look forward to seeing you at Shocco Springs. It is a beautiful inspirational place and the conferences are very good. Fellowship is great.You'll have to check out the "night owl gang".   See you there.
