I am 16 years old and have a part-time job at my church library this summer organizing the summer reading program. Does anyone have any suggestions? How to do rewards and if you have any other ideas, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thank you! I will talk with my director about it and see what he thinks.
Congratulations on your summer position. I'm sure you will find that you'll have a wonderful experience and enrich the lives of many children. I generally use the themes offered through the UPSTART materials. You can find the details on the Upstart website. They offer bags, bookmarks (kids love scratch & sniff bookmarks), stickers. The themes are not "religious" but rather something that enriches the idea of a reading program. Also, DEMCO offers reading program ideas as well. Demco is the company that offers library supplies. I've done VeggieTales theme ideas as well. Through UPSTART I've used the ice cream theme, pizza and others. Share some pictures on this website for all to see your creativity.
