Almyra from LA emailed me asking for information as to how to set up a summer reading club. I told her about the Promotion section in the Church Library Ministry Information Service. Then I told her I would as you all what you do as you set up a summer reading program. So would you share with Almyra and all of us what steps you take to set up a summer reading program?

We are working on ours now.
1. Determine theme.
2. Determine leangth of program, beginning date and ending date.
3. Set rules and be careful to make them easy enough for all to participate, but add things to make the agressive children work.
4. Prepare publicity and set date to begin Pr work.
5. Visit Sunday School departments
6. Set up enrollment in foyer of church
7. Plan end of event party
8. Plan prizes and awards
9. Involve entire team in different aspects of the program
10. Pray for each participant and their family
