Did you hear the school bus this morning. School started where I live so I heard it this morning. What have you done this year to welcome the new school year with the kids?

The teachers of the 3rd grade Sunday School group (they are now 4th graders) asked if they could bring their group to the Enrichment Center yesterday to see where the books for them are located on the shelves. We had a great experience talking about "their" books and learning how to use the self-checkout system. And we talked about going back to school. I suggested when their teachers give them reading assignments, see if they can read books from their church's library. Several of them use the library a lot so they shared their experiences with the group. I am usually not in favor of teachers taking their groups away from Bible study to tour the building, but this was the last Sunday of the church year and the teacher accomplished both Bible study and a tour.
