starting a K-12 Christian School Library

Although our church does not have a school at this time there is a possiblility that in the future we will. So I try to purchase items every year that can be used for research and study in various areas such as science, math, english, literature, and even art. I do purchase items from the Institute for creation research. They have wonderful resources from a Biblical view point. I receive a monthly magazine from them "Acts&Facts. Go to www.icr.org to check them out. I also get a magazine from LifeWay that not many people know about that has great resources listed. It is Facts & Trends. At this time the subscription is FREE. Email your request to:facts&[e-mail]. I have helped two different christian schools with their libraries. The main thing to remember is that the materials need to be Biblically based. That is why I recommend the two resources I have listed above. Some of what you put into a school library would also depend on the courses that will be offered especially to the Middle and High School. Hope all goes well.
