We have a book drop in the hallway, and people can also bring the books inside and place them on the librarians' desk, but they usually do that when someone is actually in there processing books. In the course of the morning, on Sundays, the librarian(s) on duty check and empty the book drop at least twice or three times. It works beautifully to have it out in the hallway!
