  • We had 2 men in our church build bookcases for us out of good lumber, stain them and install them to fit perfectly in our area.As Denise said they cost a whole lot less and you can get exactly what you want and need.

  • We have not been happy with the shelving we have purchased in the past because they tend to be too deep and very costly. Recently, we received a donation and wanted to use the money wisely, so we asked a gentleman in our church to make them for us. Not only did it cost a third as much for materials, but he also measured the corner and end caps already there, so the bookcases are actually built to fit the space we have.

  • Although often unsuccessful, a search of surplus sales at universities, county and state surplus sites can often be helpful.

    use terms like; used shelving, bookcases, etc.

    Often your county library system will have surplus they are trying to get rid of.
