Our pre-teen selection (4th-5th grade at our church) needs some attention! We are ready to order some current Christian books that would be highly appealing to this age group!
I've been searching publishers but finding that there doesn't seem to be much activity for new books which are clearly Christian. Please share recommendations!

Here are a few of my favorite publishers of Christian children's books. Each site has a "search by age" feature. I've linked the "middle grade" selections, but there may be some in the older or younger age groups that would also be appropriate.

Another series to consider that isn't explicitly Christian, but is written from a definite Christian worldview is "The Wingfeather Saga" by Andrew Peterson. I read the first two books to my own children and really enjoyed them (my kids are younger though, so they got a little tired of the long story). My 11yo nephew devoured the first book in about a day. I have also heard many people recomend the "Green Ember" series.
Finally, I'm sure many people would agree that "The Chronicals of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis is a must-read for anyone over the age of about 7. :)
