Lifeway Research posted recent research results titled “People Don’t Want a Friendly Church.” I’m sure the title itself hooks you. Even though the article does not mention libraries, it does describe ways that we help people connect in meaningful ways such as book clubs. We do the same thing by having a jigsaw puzzle available for people to gather and get to know each other while they work the puzzle. What do you find here?

I recently had a dad come up to me with tears in his eyes. He showed me a picture of his 10 year old daughter working on the church library puzzle with a 90 year old woman. The dad was so grateful for these two to connect. He said he stood back and listened to their sweet conversation. There are not a lot of opportunities for people to connect in our busy lives. Working around the puzzle in our church library is a special place where life slows down and friendships are made!
