Mobile Library and Request for books

Hi Everyone,

First I have some Exciting News!!!!!! My new ministry Conestoga Ministries  After School Program a ministry of the Appalachee Baptist Association was chosen as one of the one hundred to receive a Little Free Library Package among a large number of individuals and organizations!!!!!!!!!! It should be arriving here sometime this summer!!!!!!!!!! I'm sooooooooooooooo EXCITED!!!!!!!!!! I serve in three low income housing projects providing an After School Program for K - 5th grade during the school year and block parties and such during the summer for the whole community. Course I do some block parties and other adventures throughout the year.

I am also starting a mobile Christian Children's Library that will operate during the school year. Has anyone ever done this or something similar? I serve three housing projects with two in Monroe and one in Statham, Georgia. We will be meeting in the housing project's community centers so I can't leave anything there. Along with the library I will of course be doing two Library reading clubs during the school year for each site.

So, for both the Little Free Library and my Mobile Library I need books. I'm asking churches, individuals, my local library though haven't heard anything, and ya'll. Thought when you were weeding out books you might send them to me. You need to know I don't have the budget to pay you to ship them to me. So you would have to do that, but please know if you can't I completely understand. I'm not shy about asking what I need for my ministry. :-)

Oh, I'm also a NAMB Missionary (MSC Funded). I had a mission for fifteen and a half years in a mobile home park in Monroe, Ga that my late husband and I started. He went to the Father in 2010. Last October the city of Monroe closed the mobile home park so my association decided to simply move my mission from there to the housing projects. We started the After School Program in March for one week then the next week the virus hit closing the community centers for now. We are trusting the children will be back in school in the Fall then the community centers will open back up and we can start meeting again. For that first week we had 17 children at one site, and 12 children at the second site, and was waiting on the key for the third site.  We have received word that we can go door to door in June when I will be delivering treat boxes. Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!

Blessings, Pam
