  • The purpose of media ministries is to provide materials to educate, train and equip our staff, congregation and community members in order to advance the mission of our church, which is to "develop a people who are becoming more and more like Christ."
    • Thanks for your suggestion: I am working on our statement. At this point this is what we have.
The library ministry serves to rovide all ages involved in this ministry with resources and services thata will enhance the quality of Kingdom ministry, discipleship, fellowship, and worship in the lives of members of the church and coommunity, in order to reach the world with the heart of Christ.
  • Hi Jim! Let me highly encourage you to base your library ministry's mission statement on your church's mission statement. Your pastor, staff, and church family needs to see how their library is participating in accomplishing the mission and vision of the church family. If the library ministry is seen as "doing it's own thing", the church leaders may be tempted to cut the library budget or cut the ministry when funding becomes an issue. The wording of the library's mission statement needs to use the same terminology and direction as the church's mission statement. May God bless your ministry with a dynamic mission statement as He has done for your church family.
  • The mission of the church library is to provide resources and services to enhance the quality of ministry, discipleship, fellowship and worship in the lives and members of First Baptist Church Euless and those to whom they witness in obedience to the Great Commission. To lead people to believe, belong and begin in Kingdom Ministry according to the calling of our church.

This is our church library mission statement, hope it might be of some help as you design your own.
