Our pastor has emailed asking for help with a family.  He is looking for a good family devotional book.  The kids range from preschool to teens.  The parents are looking for something that they can have daily devotions and work on reading the bible together.  He is working with the parents already on memory verses. We don't put devotional books in our library.

He is also asking for any good websites for Family Bible Reading Resources besides Right Now Media.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Check out Marty Makowski’s devotional books. He has written several for families that are appropriate for preschool age through high school age. Long Story Short: 10 Minute Devotions to Draw Your Family to God is based on the Old Testament. Old Story New is based on the New Testament. His Gospel Story Bible is a companion book to these two.

  • Take a look at the devotional ALL TOGETHER: THE FAMILY DEVOTIONAL by Steve and Bekah Legg.

    • Thank you for the suggestion. I believe this was one of the books I saw when doing some research for the pastor. The description I read about it reminded me of this family.
