We get a lot of good donations of fiction for women since most of our fiction readers are women. I'd like to get some new fiction for men, but what do they like?

A book I love to recommend to men (or to their wives looking for a good manly read for their husbands) is Randy Alcorn's "Deadline". It is the story of friendship between 3 men, and has a strong Christian message on the afterlife. I tell women it is a good read for them as well with Randy giving enough emotional information for women while keeping a strong story line for men. A good introductory book for the hesitant male reader. Randy Singer is into legal mysteries and rivals John Grisham. Terri Blackstock is good as well. If a man enjoys historical fiction, Brock and Bodie Thoene are excellent.
I have a few good authors for men in addition to the first librarian's reply. Chris Fabry (Almost Heaven); Rooms by James Rubart; T. Davis Bunn - Great Divide; Not in the Heart by Chris Fabry. Providence by Chris Coppernoll. Good luck
Randy Alcorn, Don (not Dan) Brown, Dale Cramer, Craig Paschal, Robert Whitlow are a few authors who write great Christian fiction for men -- and women love them too. Those are just a few I thought of --- may post more later!

Here is a list my favorite Christian Western authors:
1) Stephen Bly
2) Gilbert Morris
3) Bodie Thoene
4) Sigmund Brouwer
5) Al Lacy
The first three authors listed have written quite a number of novels, but it is their Western series I am referring to.
