I have my library on facebook. Each week they send me a report on how many hits I received. I am pleased with the response and it is a great way to publicize your activities or special events. I want to encourage you to do this for your own information. All you do is sign up just like you did for your own facebook account. You will be glad you did if you have many facebook users in your church.

If your church has some tech people you might want to ask them about about setting up a page if you want the page to be linked to other church info. Our church has a facebook page as well as some other ministries within the church. Here is our library page. I think it's very successful, it's how often do I have time to post things. We recently got our card catalog online and in addition to our facebook page the info was also posted on our website & newsletter. People look at different things so the more visible the better!

  Thanks for your input helping me with this. I will get with our tech guy and see what we can do. You are so right about finding the time to post things. Sometimes there are not enough hours in the day to do what needs to be done. Our church has a website and the library has a newsletter and we are also online.
