Our church has a facebook webpage so I had our tech guy set up a church library group for our library. I am planning on posting new library items as they are processed and I am sure I will have other ideas. Has anyone tried this yet? Thanks,Carol

  • And BTW, when you purchase your titles from Amazon and CBD, if you would come to the CLN first and click through here to Amazon and CBD, that will help support what we are doing here. Won't cost you a thing but will certainly help the CLN!

    THANKS!

  • We have a FB page.  I have announced our Amazon wish list on this page, and the Notes pages contain our library policies.  I always share my announcements on this page on my FB page, as over 250 church friends are connected with me there.

    • That's great! I like the wish list idea. If someone buys one of those books do you take the item off as soon as you know it was purchased? We buy the books we want to have and then have them available for purchase at our bookfair. Is your library computerized? We are looking to switch systems so our patrons can look up the library catalog from home.

      • When someone clicks on the book in your wishlist and purchases it, it is removed from your wishlist.  That way you don't get duplicates.

Yes, we are computerized.  We have ResourceMate Plus and have been very happy with it.

  • I am doing this. I have only just gotten into it as of now, and I plan to use it as a means of getting out information about events and materials in the library. I already have 68 people signed up for it and we are working to perfect what we want to accomplish. I think it is a neat idea.
