We just recently did MAJOR weeding and are in the process of composing a list of items that were weeded. We also have many items that are marked 'lost' - dating back 12-15 years. Should these items remain on our shelf list as 'lost' or should they be moved to our deleted list? Thanks

Move to the "deleted" list -- especially if they have been "lost" for many years. If an item comes back, then you can decide whether the item is worth re-entering into your library collection. It may be out of date, in poor condition, etc. You can decide by asking yourself: "Would I purchase this item today?" It might be a really easy yes or no answer!
If you are using a automated database, creating and printing a list before deleting items from the computer database is a good idea. I just like to have a list of items which have been deleted from the collection, since it is a part of our history.
