Copyright question on VHS and DVDs

Our church is working on new bylaws and asked me about my VHS and DVDs that I check out in the library. Can someone let me know about what if anything I need to know about checking out them. Also, if anyone can help they also had a question abut the nursery showing dvds (ex. Viggie Tales) during church time. Thank you for all your help.

  • Debbie, this is a great question!  For  information on checking out VHS and DVD materials look under the tab "Q & A" at the top of the page and search for a question under Collection Development titled "VHS to DVD."  Not exactly the same question, but the answer by Eva Nell Hunter will give you information that will help to answer your question.

She also recommends going to the website, "Church Video Licensing International," for more information.  That site address is:  www.cvli.com.  They have information for churches and church libraries regarding the use of video materials.
