We have several books written by Joyce Landorf Heatherly. Joyce Landorf is the author on some of the older books though her name is now Heatherly. Do I use Hea for all of her books or use the name on the book?

I believe if you have an automated system, you will probably find something called an "authority file." This is to help you with getting the correct name and I think then if you utilize it, it will help do the link-up of all the titles that author has, even under different names.
I would use the letters for the name on the book in question but add some cross references in your cataloging so patrons looking for Heatherly would see Landorf and vice versa.
