Are church libraries going to be affected by the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act? Will we be forced to remove children's books printed prior to 1986?

We are not offering children's books printed before 1986 at our public library's annual Friends of the Library fundraising sale this year. How will this law affect the books that can be checked out at church and public libraries? If we have to take these books off the shelves, it will decimate our children's collection.

I used the information regarding books printed before 1985 to help us decide which books to weed from our children's section. It made the decision to weed some items much easier for us.
