Church Library Ministry Promotion

CHURCH LIBRARY MINISTRY PRINT/DIGITAL PROMOTION:

 

  • READ/CONFERENCE: Read the following AND/OR participate in a conference on print/digital promotion.
  1. Church Library Ministry Information Service (Multiplying Modes of Promotion section, pp. 138-140)
  2. Creating Promotion That Communicates Part 3 (Creating Newsletters and Creating Bulletin Inserts, Mediagraphies, and Bookmarks, pp. 43-47)

  • INTERVIEW: Talk with a graphic arts person in your church or community to see how you might use graphic arts in your print promotion for the library.

 

  • DEVELOP: Design a bookmark or newsletter for your library or develop a digital “slide show.”
  1. Design a bookmark or newsletter for your library. Search the internet for possible free bookmarks that you can print. Check out Microsoft Bookmarks and Bookplates
  2. Design a brochure or newsletter for your library. Search the internet for ideas including Microsoft Office Newsletter Templates
  3. Or develop a PowerPoint slide show to go along with the theme you are using. Use the show in a digital frame or as a screen saver on the customer computers.

  • IMPLEMENT: After designing, print and distribute the item you developed or incorporate the digital frame in a display.

 

  • EVALUATE: What kind of response did you get from your bookmark, newsletter, brochure, or slideshow? Ask others about the effectiveness. Post pictures of your bookmark, newsletter, brochure, or slideshow on the CLN.
