How are you going to digitize?  Scan each document or take pictures?

Where are you going to store these documents?  Server, PC, Cloud (Dropbox)?  I would suggest DropBox in the cloud if this is going to the congregation.  Depending on the size, you could get a church account for…

Charlie, sorry for the belated response to your comments.  Time and development schedules have kept  me busy in my retirement.  My library focus has been to bring about the overdue dedication about which I will be working on a posting and a bunch of photos.  To be clear I am not the Cowden-Smith Librarian, rather my activities at present are as the chair of a Library Ministry Team.  While my background (40 years a professor of Library & Information Science) is appropriate to the task my team and I are working on discovering Natalie's operational procedures and policies, most of which she took with her upon her passing.  That which we cannot find we must create.  Therefore, at this time, I cannot answer your questions about the support given by the library to the pre-school program.  I am quite familiar with digital libraries, have created some in other places but First Presbyterian Church is far from ready to do so.  I have not specifically developed a DL for a church.  In time I will try to give you an answer to your accreditation question.  The pre-school folks seem to be independent from the library yet the library has a collection of appropriate materials for their use.  Have to run but will continue soon.
