Church Library Ministry Administration
CHURCH LIBRARY MINISTRY POLICY DEVELOPMENT:
- INTERVIEW ministry leaders in your church about possible church library policies. Discuss the policies of the library and why they are needed, and the importance of presenting them to the church for approval.
- DEVELOP new policies or update existing policies in order to create consistency and continuity.
- IMPLEMENT the policies by presenting them in print to the church family for approval. When approved, add the policies to the Desk Book in the appropriate tabs (p. 29ff, Church Library Ministry Information Service).
- EVALUATE the policies after 2-3 months of implementation by discussing the policies with team members. When you complete the evaluation and make any necessary revisions, request your “Church Library Policy Development” certificate. Click here for the application.
