We are familiar with book clubs/challenges during the summer. How about during the school year? Anyone have experience with this approach during the school year?
During this summer we had 2 reading group sessions for preteens. Sort of like test runs. The kids and the parents loved these sessions. Now they want to continue meeting during the school year. I am collaborating with the 2 mothers to figure out how we can schedule it. One family is homeschooling while the other family goes to school. Even though the kids want to meet weekly, the collaborators are not so sure. What have you learned from doing something similar?
