Once the word got out a few months ago that we we starting such a ministry, card makers both in our church and beyond our church family started donating cards. They are beautiful! Debbie met with the In-Home Ministry Team to explain this new service to them. Now we are looking for ways to connect with Group/Sunday School class leaders. Debbie purchased a perfect rack for the cards. I will take a picture and post it on Wednesday.

I just read all about our local public library's summer reading challenge. There's no way our church reading challenge can come close to what all they are doing. I do know that some of you can easily compete with the public library challenges because you have been doing it for years.

Our church library has been in a terrible state for the last 6-7 years. We have about 2000 books and we don't even have a budget until January. We have one bulletin board just outside the room & I would love ideas for it. Many people in our church don't even know the library exists.

Becky Johnson replied:

Mary, ask school teachers in your congregation if they can donate items for your bulletin board. We change our board each month to keep it fresh. We also ask our patrons what do they think about the subject we are highlighting, this draws attention to our hard work and spreads the word.

We are included in the church bulletins, the monthly newsletter and on the various boards throughout the building. I also hold an open house in the library in January to start the year off right. If you serve refreshments they will come!

What are your Christmas or Hanukkah Plans for the Library Ministry?https://churchlibrarians.ning.com/QandA/what-are-your-christmas-plans-for-the-library-ministry2022-11-14T13:12:05.000Z2022-11-14T13:12:05.000ZMorlee Maynardhttps://churchlibrarians.ning.com/members/MorleeMaynard

We shared our Fall and Thanksgiving plans so let’s start getting ready for Christmas or Hanukkah.

Participation in Your Church's Fall Festival or Trunk or Treat?https://churchlibrarians.ning.com/QandA/participation-in-your-church-s-fall-festival-or-trick-or-trunk2022-10-31T14:21:39.000Z2022-10-31T14:21:39.000ZMorlee Maynardhttps://churchlibrarians.ning.com/members/MorleeMaynard

Share with us how you participated in this weekend's Fall Festival or the Trunk or Treat activities.

Bulletin Board Ideashttps://churchlibrarians.ning.com/QandA/bulletin-board-ideas2022-09-19T13:41:42.000Z2022-09-19T13:41:42.000ZMorlee Maynardhttps://churchlibrarians.ning.com/members/MorleeMaynard

Mary Reynolds requests the following ideas:
