We are a struggling library that does not have much use at all due to various factors. </div><div> </div><div>He suggested that we have some sort of Survey/ Questionnaire for our Parents and Sunday School Teachers about how the Library could help them. (Kinda Like a feasibility Study of sorts). I was hoping to get some insight as to what everyone might put on this questionnaire.</div><div> </div><div>I am currently thinking of having separate ones for the Sunday School teachers, the Parents, and maybe even the Kids. I would love anyone's thoughts on this topic.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div></div></div></div>The Church Librarians Handbook?https://churchlibrarians.ning.com/QandA/the-church-librarians-handbook2022-09-23T16:15:10.000Z2022-09-23T16:15:10.000ZSusan Glynn Mule'https://churchlibrarians.ning.com/members/SusanGlynnMule<div><p>I was going to recommend The Church Librarians Handbook in a presentation I am doing on "Why Church Libraries?" When I went to get the link on Amazon, a new copy of the paperback is $87.80! Does anyone know where to get it cheaper? That seems like a mistake. There are some used ones for around $25, but still.... </p><p>Are there any other books y'all would recommend for a new library starting up?</p></div>Computer stations in the church libraryhttps://churchlibrarians.ning.com/QandA/computer-stations-in-the-church-library2021-07-28T12:47:17.000Z2021-07-28T12:47:17.000ZLa Gina Grosshttps://churchlibrarians.ning.com/members/LaGinaGross<div><p><span style="font-size:14pt;">Hello!</span></p><p><span style="font-size:14pt;">Our library is in the process of being moved and reorganization is a great opportunity to re-imagine the library. Everything is done on paper, EVERYTHING.. I have been typing accessions on a typewriter (I'm 24 years old, I had to teach myself how to use said typewriter :) ). SInce I took over I have been trying to "modernize" our library. Is there any way to easily make a transition from paper accession/inventory to a more digital friendly method. I started using a spreadsheet for my accessions. What is the best way to orgaize it, by date the accession was added or by the authors last name? Also, since the library has been run that way for a long time, a lot of my congregation has lost interest in it, and new memebers don't even know about it. But before I try to promote it, I feel like I need to be able to run it effectively first. Any advice you can give me with transitioning and managing my library more efffectively would be greatly appreciated.</p><p>Thanks Friends, </p><p>-Nick</p><p> </p></div>How do our church libraries lead people?https://churchlibrarians.ning.com/QandA/how-do-our-church-libraries-lead-people2018-04-09T16:28:48.000Z2018-04-09T16:28:48.000ZMorlee Maynardhttps://churchlibrarians.ning.com/members/MorleeMaynard<div><p><strong>How do our church libraries lead people to Christ, spiritual growth, discipleship, the mission field, full-time ministry, healthy families, servanthood, and so on.</strong></p>
