Greetings!

We had a busy week continuing to set up the new website and posting new articles. Grateful to those who pointed out a couple of things to fix. As we heard from you, we immediately took care of the problems. So, keep emailing us to let us know of any problems you are having with the website (churchlibrarians.ning.com).

Categories

We shared with you last Monday that the post categories did not migrate from our former website. We are in the process of manually assigning the categories to all the Circle posts. Looks like we may have lost some posts in the migration so if you do not find one or more of yours, feel free to repost your post. Note that we moved some posts from The Circle to Our Journeys.

 Videos

You will find that the videos that did not work are all gone. Soon we will begin recording virtual conversations which will be posted with our videos. Can’t wait!

Church Library Strategic Technology Planning for the Future

Ken Satterfield contributed an update of an article he wrote a few years ago for the CLN. We are using it to launch a conversation on the Circle about the future of church library technology in Collection Development. Looking forward to seeing where this conversation goes! Click here. Thank you, Ken!!

Book Drive Series of Articles

Sue Berthelot contributed updates this week on three articles she wrote a few years ago. Originally, we used the term “Media Fairs,” but as we worked on the articles, we became aware of changes in our churches and the current situations with bookstores. The concept is still strong for our churches so call it whatever works best for your church family. The three articles cover planning, implementing, and wrapping up a book drive. Thank you, Sue!!

 Newsletters?

Did you see Bev Colquett’s request to see newsletters? She is particularly interested in promoting books through newsletters. Click here. I am thinking Bev is not the only one interested in newsletters!

 Have a great week!!
