Hi Linda,

It's a year later and I'm finally responding to your question.  Our church library has been slowly progressing.  I'm still in the process training volunteers in the various process and functions.  We have not promoted National Library Week for the past 2 years. This year it was my goal to do so but we were not able to.  But every year we have a Taste of the World event through our Missions Dept and we have a table set up promoting the library ministry.  Would love to hear about your church library?  Please forgive the loooooong delay in responding.  It been quite awhile since the last time I've visited this network.

Hi Linda,

I am currently a librarian in an association that used to be based in Chicago. The association moved to Kansas City in 2005. I have a degree in library science and have worked in public, academic, and now a nonprofit special library. When the church we were attending 2 years ago closed its doors, we started looking for a new one. The first time I laid eyes on the fabulous library at First Baptist Raytown, I knew it was the place for me. Here is the link to our blog http://fbrlibrary.wordpress.com/

Hope you're having a wonderful summer too! I have a brother in St. Louis and went camping this summer at Meremac State Park. Had a great time .
