  • Definitely! I did not want to have to type or generate new labels. They are clear - some colors work better than others - stay with the pastels (yellow, pink, light blue) unless you have bold and larger labels (which I recommend to be easy on the eyes of older patrons and library workers !).   I can see using three colors in my collection here  for reference, large print and a special need locally.  On the children's fiction (which are interfiled with the general collection) I am using a clear blue star.   Picture and easy readers will go in some wicker baskets on bottom shelves and under some benches and be organized by theme or topic and the identifier of "EASY" or "E".

  • I usually order them from The Library Store as they usually have a good price.   http://www.thelibrarystore.com/product/ad16-02220/label_protectors     The photo is from the last library where I worked and reflected a special topic collection. I just started in the volunteer library at church and have begun to label the reference books with a yellow label like the pink in the image.  The area revealed a lot of creative re-shelving!  I think the labels will help return things to the right shelves!
