Tennessee would like to invite any Concourse or Atriuum users to join us at our Carnival of Ideas Fall Training Events during September and October. Won't CSV fail if a title contains a comma?  Example: Ah-one, ah-two!

Atriuum has two ways to export a report. You can "export report as text" or you can "export report as CSV". CSV export behaves exactly as the "Export Report As Text" but delimits the results with commas instead of with tabs.

Concourse has a feature that prints reports in XML format. Is this feature available in Atriuum?

Thanks, Allison, for your words of encouragement for church librarians to attend library workshops.  Just one correction--the meeting at my church will be on Saturday, November 2, and it is located in Decatur, AL.  It has been a pleasure, Allison, to have you work with libraries in the areas of Concourse and Atriuum.  Hope to see many of you at these workshops.  Allison, Bill, Bev and I will be at all of those workshops mentioned.

I hope many of you in Tennessee will be attending the workshops that are offered in Maryville (Sept. 14), Memphis (Sept. 21), and Murfreesboro (Sept. 28)this month. Bill Jones and I are presenting sessions on Concourse (Bill) and Atriuum (me). We had a great turn out in Cleveland this past Saturday. 

Those that live in Alabama need to be sure to sign up for Shocco Springs Sept. 16 - 18, or for North Alabama Church Library Workshop on Nov. 3, at Eva Nell's church in Athens, AL. There will be Concourse and Atriuum sessions at both of these events.

When withdrawing items, we have created a "Removed" class in the Location field and place the items to be removed in that location. We also add the term "removed" to one of the call number fields (optional). We then generate and print a list of items to be removed, giving us a history of what has been removed.  We only delete items once or twice a year; that gives those items which may have been "lost" a little more opportunity to show up again, but the record will show the item removed if someone searches the catalog for it.

WebOpac is great! You do need local tech people that are willing to work with you to set it up depending on how the church computers work with the library computers. We have utilized the Books Systems tech support several times to help us also. It is a great tool for giving folks access to your catalog on-line.

I am looking forward to being a member of this group.  We purchased Webopac years ago, but have never used it.  I hope we can get our church to set it up this year.
